This came to me at a time when I was feeling my lowest. My motivation to keep pushing and keep hustlin every day was beginning to look like I was just spinning my wheels and getting nowhere. I knew what I should be doing but it was way out of my comfort zone. In my denial, I would make every attempt to hide this fear that was holding me back even from myself. the more I avoided, the more desperate my situation was becoming. I told myself that I had too much to lose if stepping out on faith went “south” I now know that, in reality, I was risking far more by not acting. It was when I just started browsing through social media (something to do that makes you feel busy and distracts you from thinking about the price of not doing what you know you should be doing) I came across the above video. “God puts the thing you seek most on the other side of your fear” (paraphrased) Upon on first watching it, it grabbed my attention and I pondered it for a moment and then continued on with my busy, non-productive activities.
As my day progressed into more feelings of hopelessness, there seemed to be a “small, still voice” in the back of my mind that kept saying, “I just led you to the answer” I ignored it some more as I picked up my favorite book by Andy Shaw, Creating a Bug-Free Mind. I started to read chapter 14 which just happened to be the chapter on eliminating fear completely from your life…..
I liked this article. I have long believed that fear is a lack of faith. I loved the statement about God putting our answer just on the other side of our fear. Too often we don’t listen to the still small voice. I’m glad you are listening. I also loved what you said about social media making you feel busy so you don’t think of all that we should be doing. Lol. How true. Fearless and faithful! Yes!
