Hello,

I actually am thinking about adding credit card processing to my website. As you said, not having this function can result in a major loss of sales. This is something no one wants.

I am interested in your opinion. You mentioned the site owner would have to either have the service on their site or redirect the customer to another page with the service. Does redirecting result in a loss of sales often? This will effect my decision on what service to use greatly.

Thanks for your input, JaemiO to answer your question, a sale can be lost in the transition of a redirect. It depends on where you are redirecting and the system in place to process the sale. Redirecting also is a red flag to your customer as to your credibility. In today’s world of hackers, it is not a good practice. The company you process through makes a difference as well as this will be the main factor of taking responsibility to Visa/Mastercard, Discover, etc. that your transactions are legit and qualified. Great advice. Becoming an online retailer without credit card processing service would be a bad business decision. I plan on having credit card processing for one of my sites once I expand. I never knew you can get detailed info about your customer. This will help with future marketing plans and customer acquisition. Thank you for the info.
